Day 91 of 365: Old man

Today my parents came home. Early arrival, but they came out at about 10am. Decided to grab some brunch, so we went to Stack's. Can't say how happy Amos was to go there. It has been a while, but it could be a reward for the past semester that went by. Of course, when you go to Stack's, you're filled past lunch.

Amos wanted to visit Pat's grave today, so my parents didn't mind to see him. We went to Target's garden center to get flowers, but from the looks of it, they were out for some reason. Headed to Home Depot instead. It wasn't until we got to the surrounding area of the cemetery that we realized there was a flower shop selling bouquets of all kinds. Felt dumb for a bit. Anyway, they cleared out the flowers that Annie and I got for him, so the grave looks cleaner. Still miss that guy... Life just doesn't feel the same...

We didn't do much when we got home except for a second boxing day. Tons of gifts that my parents brought back and it's not just from them, but others too. Got a really nice jacket! From Armani, I think. Pretty cool stuff! And Dad got it at a dirt cheap price! Thank God for His grace!

After sitting around for a while, cleaning paintball markers and doing laundry, we headed out for dinner at that Chinese restaurant on Gellert near Serramonte. Surprisingly good Chinese! Maybe I was hungry, but it was still good Chinese! Had oysters, dow mew, crab, beef and quail. All good stuff. Best of all, the family is back together again.

Now, my parents are in bed sleeping the jet lag away...Well, Mom is stuck on this game she got for her iPod, so she'll be in bed later. Amos and Kristy are at Matt's countdown party. And me? Well, I'm being an ordinary old man doing old man stuff...
