Day 85 of 365: Sherlock Holmes

Slept in this morning, which was refreshing. Thought I was going to watch Sherlock Holmes in the morning, but went to breakfast with Annie at the New Taraval cafe instead. It was only after breakfast that we went to watch the movie.

Being opening day, it was filling up fast. The next two showings were already sold out and we had to settle for a showing that's 2 hours away from our arrival to the theaters. I thought the wait would be difficult, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Playing with the touch definitely helps with killing time. Soon after, we were getting ready to go in.

The movie was pretty good! Definitely like Robert Downey Jr's performance. I like to say that he is one versatile actor. Looking at performances like Tropic Thunder and Iron Man, in addition to Sherlock Holmes, he could easily take on any character.

When the movie was over, it was late afternoon and almost time for dinner. Annie and I thought about doing Laksa for dinner, so we dropped by Sunset Super and got some groceries. The noodles that we normally use was sold out, so we substitute it for pho noodles. A little iffy on the usage of a noodle that is unfamiliar to me, but turns out that it was perfect, according to my taste buds. Thank God we made just the right amount! Oh, and the Haus called in to tell us that they "forgot" to pick up sushi from this Japanese restaurant on Irving. Told us to go over to pick it up for ourselves. Love that family...

After a long dinner, we hung around and played Mario on the Wii. The guys played and finally beat the game.
