Day 323 of 365: Automotive emergency

Today was one of the most productive days of my life! Just kidding on the last few word choices, it's not the most productive, but it was productive! Just not up there.

Started with some family financial errands, then a time of waiting for Amos to return with my car. When that happened, i was off to do some personal financial errands and to Target to get some supplies for the bathroom. Didn't eat anything at that time, so i decided to head to Carl's Jr (because it was easy) and got a Western Double Cheeseburger. Not what i wanted exactly. Wanted to get the Western 6 dollar, but i know it was my mistake on the order. i called out the wrong number and didn't realize it until much later. The burger sucked! The patties were charred on the rim, but at least it was normal in the middle. The fries made up for it. Fresh and hot!

After this bad lunch, i went head to wash all the poo and junk off the Camry. It was cold outside, but it had to be done. One thing that i realized...when you wash your car, you tend to find things that you would otherwise miss. i found a paint chip on my car's body. i would have been okay with the bumpers since they were made out of fiberglass, but the body is metal, pure metal, and that tends to rust. My old Camry had problems like that and i failed to take care of it. This time, after cleaning the whole car, i busted out my touch-up paint that i bought two years back. i am not going to let this Camry rust!! Touch up isn't what i like to do, but in this case, it's a must. i'll paint the whole car next time.

Being satisfied with a clean car, i guess it wasn't enough for the entire day. i went ahead to clean up my room. i say it's a first that i wanted to do it and without the usual motivation of music... This time, i had the TV on to entertain me while i put stuff away. However, the true motivation has to come from God. i wonder if Annie has been praying for God to push me to clean... i wonder...

i had no time for grocery shopping for dinner, but thankfully, Kristy was ready to get food. i asked her to buy groceries for dinner and she could cook whatever she wanted and she did so very well! The menu was Dried Tomato Alfredo Fettuccine with Chicken Apple Sausage and broccoli. Very well made! The meal came with a simple green salad.

Then came pre-marital counseling. This is necessary, but sometimes, it feels...repetitive. Reminds me of school in some way with the long hours. The parts that i look forward to is learning something new about Annie or myself or marriage in general. So far, i get a couple of nuggets of wisdom and on good sessions with good topics, i get a whole lot more!

We did some wedding planning after and that took out most of the evening. It got really late for Annie and i when we finally got something done. Still need more work, but it's good for now. When Annie left, i was caught off-guard when she called me about an automotive emergency. Won't get too much into detail because this blog entry is getting really long! Ha! All in all, Annie's fine. God protects!
