Day 31 of 365: Keep praying

I love daylight savings when it gives me an hour more! I despise it when it demands it back... After yesterday's super active games, I knew I was in for a good night's rest! I know I had enough sleep, but I still could use a few more hours.

Service was good. Love the guest speaker, Steve Kroch. I think that's how his last name is spelled. I really enjoy pastors that have a sense of dynamic speech skills and have good flow of delivery. Oh, stories too! At times, I feel like the content of the message is good, but better when the pastor knows how to deliver it. Helps with the remembering. Like today, the passage is from Luke 9:57-62. This is one of those passages that I would read and not understand. Pastor Kroch definitely gave a lot of insight to the cultural aspects of that time and what he thought Jesus was aiming His answers at. Definitely made the whole thing clearer than before!

Went back home after to relax and wind down for a bit before accompanying Annie to do stuff. After all that needs to be done, I went back home for more chilling while Annie goes dress shopping with her parents. Must be exciting.

I had dinner with her parents (Mom's birthday according to the Chinese calender) and we went to Mayflower. Interesting night since we knew that one of the TNT students has a father working there and we didn't introduce ourselves until tonight when one of Annie's parents made the move. Encouraging thing was that Annie's dad thought her mom should go to church. Thought it was a moment to seize, but I'm going to take baby steps and hope that God will guide in His timing. I just hope I can discern that timing... Well, I thought a good start would be to download my dad's sermons into Annie's dad's computer so he could listen to it at his own time. I know they listened to one before, but that one was the message that Dad talked about the abalone that Annie's dad gave him. Keep praying, I guess...
